Wawamalu Beach Park is located right next to Sandy Beach (Koko Head Park) but this side of the beach looks nothing like Sandy Beach (Koko Head Park).
While it does have a huge grassy area behind it, it doesn't have much in the way of a sand lined beach as most of it is very rocky. Because of that, water access is here is mostly a no go, not that you'd want to be in the water here since it's just as rocky as what you see on the beach.
If you do find sandy areas they're likely to be covered in small rocks. The bits closest to Sandy Beach (Koko Head Park) are a bit better though, but still not all that great and very rocky in the water.
Come for the views or to fish but it doesn't offer much in the way of a real beach and swimming experience.
