Richardson's Ocean Park, or Richardson Beach Park is it's sometimes called, is a good spot for swimming and snorkeling when the ocean is calm. There are tide pools and a lot of shade. There can also good surfing offshore.

The beach gets its name from Elsa and George Richardson who built the house in the early 1920s. The house is now an educational center for recreational ocean and marine studies with the University of Hawaii Sea Grant Extension program.

This park has plenty of facilities like a lifeguard, showers, bathrooms, picnic areas, and plenty of parking.
