This is a strange activity when you see it for the first time. It's essentially a four wheel tiki-bar-hut-looking vehicle that is pedal powered (like a bicycle) and holds up to fifteen people. Most of them will be pedaling to bring the vehicle up to it's maximum speed of about 5 MPH but it can also hold five non-pedalers as well. The company supplies a driver who steers the vehicle.
They offer a scenic tour where you pedal through Honolulu and stop for various photo opportunities. Or, you can take one of their bar hopping tours where you pedal around to a bar, go in for a drink, and pedal on to the next bar. There's no drinking allowed while you are on the vehicle since that would be against the law.
It looks like a fun time and is certainly a unique way to see the city!
